About Retta le Ritz

Retta Leritz DiFate, a whimsical and stylish illustrator, has been creating custom drawings and designs for a variety of discerning clients for years. While earning a BFA in Interior Design, she received a coveted internship with fashion designer Betsey Johnson in New York. From there, she was hired as an intern for Tommy Hilfiger in his Home Collection. Soon, Retta was asked to help create designer Nicole Miller’s premiere Home Collection. Today, she is translating her classic style and unique wit into her own creations.

Artist Eric DiFate was born into a family of renowned artists - from painters to architects. His transition into the art-world, therefore, was no surprise. Eric is a painter and ceramist, but received his BFA in illustration from the Rhode Island School of Design. His style is eclectic and smart, and has no doubt benefited from his extensive travels. His works can be seen in everything from children’s books to stained glass, and Eric is also a former freelance artist for such talents as Mary Engelbreit.

Together, Retta and Eric married in 2004 and created Retta le Ritz as a way of combining their talents and experiences into a joint venture.
